Internationally acclaimed artist Raymond Watson, is an accomplished sculptor currently based in Jamaica. He has exhibited around the Caribbean as well as in private collections worldwide. Raymond has been creating sculpture over a period spanning three decades. Watson's subject is the human form, transformed, stretched and manipulated to find a common element that underpins the human condition. His pieces have incorporated such textures as bronze resin, welded steel, fiberglass and mahogany. Raymond describes his style as “a synthesis of influences, born as much out of process as concept, and evolving from the movement and rhythm I see in people daily.” Says the artist, "I journey in my search for spiritual continuity and the need to build bridges between the past, present and the future."
